oDDsKooL podcast episode #4 : B-B-B Balkan Beat Box’s groovin’
Howdy ! for the 4th episode of the podcast, oDDsKooL has chosen to put forward some “Klezmer Dub” track. But hell ! sometimes I wonder what the heck is worth this social tagging and categorization of music… Indeed, those guys come from Israel, one has a score track as a punk drummer, groovebox programmer, another one played clarinette in a klezmer band, while the third is a pacifist MC raised in NYC’s undergound – and the resulting mix has surprinsingly many a mediterranean accent and a definitive gipsy atmosphere !
oDDsKooL podcast episode #3 : DDD Deutsch Dancehall riDdim mit Culcha Candela
WOooh, for this 3rd episode let’s move to the outer side of dancehall with the German riddim methodists of Culcha Candela
The originality of Culcha is their ability to mix english, spanish and german lyrics in their songs and still boost up the party with their overwhelming groove power ! Yeah gimme some more !!!
oDDsKooL podcast episode #2 : Max Romeo : Fari – Captain of my Ship
For this second episode, I’d like to make an hommage to this classical roots groove by Max Romeo. Composed after a musical blackhole this album was pretty much a turnaround towards the rebirth of roots reggae in the beginning of the 90’s…
